To manage a mirror?

Once created there really is no management.

You need have the MirrorUX package to create mirrors

Feljav,

You need to have MirrorDisk installed. This comes standard as part of the Enterprise Operating Environment. If you haven't installed this environment you may need to purchase a license to unlock and install the software. You will then be able to use the lvextend -m option to create your mirrors.

Hi Feljav,
Mirror disk is an additional lic. product in HPUX , when you install " mirror disk UX ". LVM it self able to run mirror commands. No seprate tool and administration menu for mirroring in HPUX.

Good news though - starting with 11iv3, root lvm mirroring will be included (at least I was told it would be).

Now, if you are using vxvm - then mirroing is already included.
