how to find tape lib box serial num from a HP box

i cant find the serial num on DLT8000,how can i use command to find it on a HP server that is connected to DLT8000?

If the device is supported by STM utilities, you should be able to get the info (serial number). Try this ..

# cstm
==> Run cstm

cstm> map
==> In cstm prompt enter "map", take note of the first column i.e "dev num" of the DLT drive.

cstm> sel dev 8
==> Lets assume the device number is 8, so now you would select t.

cstm> info
==> Update the map.

cstm> infolog
==> Show information about the DLT drive.
