    <description>It depends which database product you are using. I know Oracle has Real Application Cluster (RAC), which will allow multiple nodes to access a shared set of datafiles.</description>

      <description>scenario;&lt;BR /&gt;   -two application servers on the application clusters with load-balancing implemented together with redudancy (failover)..&lt;BR /&gt;   -two database servers on the database cluster with only redundancy implemented &lt;BR /&gt;   -hp storage virtual array used for the above production clusters.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;problem;&lt;BR /&gt;   -during annual peak periods (2 months ) primary database server has its processor utilisation @ 100%!!!!!!!!. Yet the resources on the standby server are idle!!!!!!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i want to know if it is possible to implement load balancing on this dbase cluster as has been done on the application cluster so that the resources are fully utilised during such periods.&lt;BR /&gt;Thnx&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
