Vxvm base version and Multipath

Configuration:
H/W:Rx7640
Storage:XP12K
S/W:HPUX 11.23
VXVM BASE 4.1 version.(which is preinstalled with OS)

We have configured luns from XP12K in Vxvm 4.1 base version & LVM.we have configured dual path from XP12K for those LVM PV links.
Currently no load balancing software like autopath configured in HPUX host.we are manually balancing in LVM volumes.
In Vxvm Diskgroup configuration, it was showing only one path.

Clarification:
1.How do we configure the primary or alternate path in Vxvm base version.
2. Will it take other path automatically incase of existing path failed?.
3.Since it is base version we don't have DMP.
Can we configure multipath to same disk in Vxvm without doing loadbalancing?.
4.How do we select the primary and alternate device files for Vxvm DGs.

1.DMP manages this automatically
2.dmpadm command can be used to manange and get details

thanks for your reply. I would like to know in Vxvm base product without any add on license etc.
Is it possible to add alternate path in base product.?.

No you will need to full vxvm version to enable dmp (multi pathing).

make sure you download the ASL for the XP12K from Veritas and install it. Once you do that it will discover your disk and enable dmp
