    <description>1. for taking backup , use your own methode&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2. vgchange -a n vgname&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;3. vgexport vgname&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;4. pvcreate -f  pvnames &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;5. vgcreate -s 64 vgname pv1 pv2 pvx &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;6. lvcreate -n /dev/vgname/lvname -L size MB vgname&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;7. #newfs -F vxfs /dev/vgname/rlvname&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;8. Mount /dev/vgname/lvname /dir&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;believe you will be having already entries in fstab&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;resotre the data &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Sooraj</description>

      <description>You can't change the PE size online.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;However, using vgmodify command, you can change MaxPE, MaxPV, MaxLV parameters.</description>
