When I try to configure a server as a dce client I am getting the following error.
rgy_edit "Password is too short"

Your DCE cell_admin password probably needs to be changed to a longer password (8 chars or more) ?

the default password always used to be -???- (5 characters) is your's less ?

Hi,

remember that the "strongest" attribute is used:
- of the "organization"
- of the "account"
- of the "registry"

so it is NOT enough the permit shorter passwords just for that "account"!

You will have to use "rgy_edit" or "dcecp registry" to modify the "properties" of the registry (the DCE security master server) and then "rgy_edit" and "dcecp account" / "dcecp organization" to modify the rest...
