3rd party support - DecisionOne

Anyone ever work with DecisionOne for HP9000 H/W or S/W support?

What's your opinion of D1... good, bad or other?

I hate to say it, but HP is gouging us on our renewals this year (someone must be buying a boat or something)... so I'm "shopping" around.

I've never worked with DecisionOne, but am currently using another 3rd party for HW and SW support.

Check into SourceDirect and see if they have an office in your area. I have not had any problems with them. Also, Bill Hassell now works for them. http://www.sourcedirect.com

Thanks Patrick, I'll check out source direct. I've received quotes from D1, Abtech and Systems Maintenance Services, but one more wouldn't hurt. SMS also does hot sparing.

D1 is priced very well--90% savings over what our renewal with HP will be! But then again, you get what you pay for.

Patrick, thanks for the heads up about Source Direct. I've narrowed it down between two vendors and SD is one of them.
