Hi,

Its depend.

If your server is PA-RISC, you can interact with IPL and boot in maintenance mode on a system with a root disk configured with LVM:

ISL> hpux -lm boot

your /stand lvol seems not responding..

you would need to boot in maintainance mode

that is hpx -lm , and try seeing what is deal with lvol1..

Or try interrupting boot and search for boot devices and boot through the mirror, that might help..

Regards
Prashant

Boot system, interrupt boot
you will see a menu whowing commands like Search
Boot
....

Select search, you need to know what are devices you can boot through.. there shall be option to see What is alternate and primary device setup..

You can do "boot alt"

Interact with IPL & do hpux -lq ... or hpux -lq

If this boots the host, you will need to see and replace the primary disk..

If this doesnt get through, you might need to boot through ignite

Thanks
Prashant

You will need to do boot alt in my openion, and then interact with ipl.. and then do hpux -lq / or lm..

Once you enter in maintaince or single user mode, you will need to activate VG's, vgchange -a y vg00 (Like this) and try seeing lvdisplay/pvdisplay, diskinfo etc... once you crack through this.. you will be able to make out what is wrong.. get disk replaced and do mirroring stuff back..

Regards
Prashant

Do a lvdisplay -v /dev/vg00/lvol1, see what is error message..
Or even vgdisplay -v vg00 should show the problem..
It should show some error about disk..

Are you able to mount /stand , and see everything is alright on it.. if so, get disk replaced which is bad.. and do all mirroring again to new disk.. first you will need to break mirror..Let me know if you need a process for mirroring..

Thanks and regards
Prashant
