      <description>When i am  trying to mirror the root disk by using the following commands i am getting the following errors.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# lvextend -m 1 /dev/vg00/lvol3 /dev/dsk/c2t1d0&lt;BR /&gt;Usage: lvextend&lt;BR /&gt;        [-A Autobackup]&lt;BR /&gt;        {-l LogicalExtentsNumber |&lt;BR /&gt;         -L LogicalVolumeSize}&lt;BR /&gt;        LogicalVolumePath [ PhysicalVolumePath... | PhysicalVolumeGroupName... ]&lt;BR /&gt;"m": Illegal option.&lt;BR /&gt;Can any body advice me why its ending like this.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Venkat</description>

      <description>It sounds like you don't have the MirrorDisk/UX product installed.  Check with "swlist -l product |grep -i mirror".  You should see something like:&lt;BR /&gt;# swlist -l fileset |grep -i mirror&lt;BR /&gt;  LVM.LVM-MIRROR-RUN                    B.11.11        LVM-MIRROR-RUN&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Pete&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Are you sure you have mirrordisk-UX software? Please, check from &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;swlist -l fileset |grep -i mirror &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;to confirm if this is in your system. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If it is then, what o/s are we talking about so that we could have a better discussion.</description>

      <description>Hi;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please check if mirror package is installed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#swlist -l product |grep -i mirror&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if is installed.. check the following command before u perform any mirror operation.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#lvdisplay -v /dev/vg00/lvol3&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;see the output carefully. also check the physical disk used by the file system. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#vgdisplay -v vg00&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;check if u have enough free space available in target disk(/dev/dsk/c2t1d0)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this will help u to resolve ur issue..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;cheers&lt;BR /&gt;indrajit</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you are able to issue a lvchange â  s g /dev/vg00/lvol1 to set the strict allocation policy but are unable to lvextend â  m 1 /dev/vg00/lvol1 /dev/dsk/c1t2d0 this would point to me you do not have Mirror UX installed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Simon&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
