Hi,

It seems that you are using partition manager version 2.0.
Check the version of System Fault Management (SysFaultMgmt) on the systm using
# swlist -a revision SysFaultMgmt

IPMI is a part of System Fault Management which is used by WBEM and its providers.

The details of IPMI could be found at
http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-1247/ch01s06.html

http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductsList.do?category=ISS

http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=SYSFAULTMGMT

You may need to install latest version of
SysFaultMgmt.
Hi,

Aah!! rp3440 server!!
It is not partitionable (npar capable) server. I know even on non-partitionable server and is "vpar" supported, partition manager s/w is a requirement of "vpar" software. Saying that, "vpar" software uses partition manager for its operation.

As far as the IPMI is concerned for this server , MP/iLO does provide IPMI support. You can check the MP/iLO and IPMI version using MP Interface.
MP > CM > SYSREV

You may need to upgrade the MP/iLO firmware.
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=406769&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=443375&swLang=13&taskId=135&swEnvOID=54
