      <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have created a new fs using the following:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgdisplay -v /dev/vg00 | egrep "^Free PE|PE Size"&lt;BR /&gt;lvcreate /dev/vg00&lt;BR /&gt;lvextend -L 400 /dev/vg00/lvol13&lt;BR /&gt;newfs -F vxfs /dev/vg00/rlvol13&lt;BR /&gt;mount -F vxfs /dev/vg00/lvol13 /appl/patrol&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;when I come to mount the new fs i get an error:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# mount -F vxfs /dev/vg00/lvol13 /appl/patrol&lt;BR /&gt;vxfs mount: /dev/vg00/lvol13 is already mounted, /appl/patrol is busy,&lt;BR /&gt;        or allowable number of mount points exceeded&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;can someone help?</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try to use the command below :&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# mount /dev/vg00/lvol13 /app/patrol&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check also whether /dev/vg00/lvol13 &amp;amp; /app/patrol already been used by the system, check /etc/fstab &amp;amp; /etc/mnttab.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this can help you.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers,&lt;BR /&gt;AW</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As per your steps , after lvextend , don't give newfs , you will lose data....&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;do reconfirm , whether you had given nefs or extendfs..... &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regds&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Venkatesan</description>
