      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;for boot disk:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. reduce all lvols &lt;BR /&gt;   lvreduce -m 0 /dev/vg00 /dev/dsk/...&lt;BR /&gt;2. remove disk from vg&lt;BR /&gt;   vgreduce /dev/vg00 /dev/dsk/&lt;BR /&gt;3. remove efi partition headers and table form disk&lt;BR /&gt;   idisk -R /dev/rdsk/...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Wayne,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Not as difficult as mirroring.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;---&lt;BR /&gt;7. extend lvols to new sub-partition on the disk&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   # lvextend -m 1 /dev/vg00/lvol1 /dev/dsk/c2t1d0s2&lt;BR /&gt;       .... lvextend -m 1 (additional LV)...&lt;BR /&gt;---&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;reverse the previous commands with &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# lvreduce -m 0 /dev/vg00/lvol1 /dev/dsk/c2t1d0s2&lt;BR /&gt;.... lvreduce -m 0 (additional LV)...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps,&lt;BR /&gt;Robert-Jan</description>

      <description>Hi Slowamir&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The first command should read.&lt;BR /&gt;lvreduce -m 0 /dev/vg00/lvol1 /dev/dsk/c2t0d0s2&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The sector i important otherwise the command fails.</description>

      <description>For the sake of completeness.&lt;BR /&gt;Here is the entire process from start to finish to break a mirror on an itanium box.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. reduce all lvols &lt;BR /&gt;lvreduce -m 0 /dev/vg00/lvol? /dev/dsk/c?t?d?s2&lt;BR /&gt;2.  remove disk from vg&lt;BR /&gt;vgreduce /dev/vg00 /dev/dsk/c?t?d?s2&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;3.  remove efi partition headers and table form disk&lt;BR /&gt;idisk -R /dev/rdsk/ c?t?d?s2&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;4. On boot up goto the boot options.&lt;BR /&gt;Then delete boot options and delete the alternate boot path.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
