Basically (I think) what it means is your "system clock" that is the clock used by the OS is not synchronized with the "real-time-clock" that is the battery operated clock.

The "filesystem time" would be the "system clock" that I mentioned above. The "time-of-day register" would be the "real-time-clock".

I have not seen this error before, what OS, model of server are you running ?

did you update the date/time/time zone recently , also you may check the system clock which get syncronised with Unix clock whever the sytem is booted , so you may like to call HP in case the CPU/Mother Board need a battery change.

Hi,

Check out patch
PHKL_15599 s700 10.10 realtime clock,VM,PM,T520,LVM,SCSI,pstat cumulative

In the patch text is your exact message mentioned. So I guess you are using 10.10 on a 700 system if you experience this problem.

Is already replaced by PHKL_23477.
Install this one to solve the problem.

This is for 10.10 700 systems !!

Hi,

Clemens is quite right about the message
beeing described in the patch-text for PHKL_15599.
But be aware, equivalent patches with
the same text exists for series 800 and
series 700 on 10.02, 10.10 and 10.20.
This again gives me the oppurtunity to
request that when a question is put to
the forum it should contain info about
hardware and HP-ux version.

What version you are running on the server.
