      <description>I need to take a remote backup for HP-UX11.11 but when I use fbackup -f &lt;REM_MACH&gt;:/dev/rmt/0m -i /tmp&lt;BR /&gt;but it gives:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;REM_MACH&gt;:/ # fbackup -f &lt;REM_MACH&gt;:/dev/rmt/0m -i /core&lt;BR /&gt;fbackup(1004): session begins on Wed May  8 08:58:39 2002&lt;BR /&gt;fbackup(3301): could not open output file &lt;REM_MACH&gt;:/dev/rmt/0m&lt;BR /&gt;fbackup(3019): would you like to enter a new output file?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I need your help please.&lt;/REM_MACH&gt;&lt;/REM_MACH&gt;&lt;/REM_MACH&gt;&lt;/REM_MACH&gt;</description>

      <description>1. Are you sure that the tape drive on the remote host is /dev/rmt/0m?&lt;BR /&gt;2. Does the drive have a tape when you run the fbackup?&lt;BR /&gt;3. Is the tape write-protected?</description>

      <description>&lt;BR /&gt;hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  u have to update ur .rhosts file on both servers so that rlogin shud work without prompting password for root user.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;host A,B&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;.rhosts of A&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   B    root&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;.rhosts of B&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   A    root&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and entries shud be there of A and B in the hosts file of each other&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;CTK</description>

      <description>Hi Abdullah&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Infact you can just put&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;IP adress=""&gt; root&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;in the .rhosts for both the machines and then try to do a rlogin , if it works w/o asking a passwd you are good to go.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Manoj Srivastava&lt;/IP&gt;</description>
