      <title>Lvcreate  - enable large files</title>

      <description>I need to create a filesystem to uncompress an Oracle dump file of approx 3gb. When the uncompress gets to approx 2.1gb if fails. How can I enable large files. My current lvcreate command is:&lt;BR /&gt;lvcreate -s g -D y -m 1 -L 5000 /dev/vg01&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Tim</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;... and when you have enabled largefiles for the file system, please remember to check the mount options for the file system in /etc/fstab: the mount option must then be largefiles - I cannot remember if that happens automatically, but it is at least easy to check and correct.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards,&lt;BR /&gt;John K.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
