    <description>Hi:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Make sure there is nothing mounted or using any mountpoints.  You can use 'fuser'.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Make sure that you don't have a swap device in use.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Make sure that you can access the disk (it could be bad):&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# dd if=/dev/rdsk/cXtYdZ of=/dev/null bs=64k count=100&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;...JRF...&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <title>vgexport problem</title>

      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have imported one vg using map file and -s option.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Now I want to remove the vg. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When I do vgchange -a n , it says couldn't deactivate ,Device busy error.&lt;BR /&gt;(The device associated with this vg is ok.)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There is no mounted file system which belongs to this vg.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I tried to re create lvmtab using vgscan -v .&lt;BR /&gt;still the problem persists.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What else could be the reason.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I just want to remove the volume group from the system . &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regds,&lt;BR /&gt;baiju.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;Is there any application using the raw device ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try with&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;fuser /dev/vgXX/lvol*&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and eventually kill them.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Another check: see if the minor is unique:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ll /dev/vg*/group&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is two minor are identical, lvm goes crazy lize this.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  Massimo</description>

      <description>$PWD is /&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have activated this vg and mounted the Filesystems.(presenlty all are unmounted)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There is now row LVs with this VG.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is there is any forcefull way of removing a VG.</description>

      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The problem got solved .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I removed the LUNs and recreated the lvmtab by vgscan -v .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This was the only solution which worked.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for all ur helpings.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regds,&lt;BR /&gt;baiju</description>
