lvextend problem

I was trying to mirror a disk on hp-ux 11.00 machine and after I executed all the needed commands steps :
pvcreate,vgextend,mkboot,setboot..
the following command failed and here's the result:
# lvextend -m 1 /dev/vg00/lvol1 /dev/dsk/c2t2d0
Usage: lvextend
[-A Autobackup]
{-l LogicalExtentsNumber |
-L LogicalVolumeSize}
LogicalVolumePath [ PhysicalVolumePath... | PhysicalVolumeGroupName... ]
"m": Illegal option

can someone help me about that issue...thx preceedingly

Hi

make sure that you have installed Mirror Disk UX in your system. Check this by "swlist -l bundle" command. This is a priced product from HP.

HI,

In my opinion, you don't have
'Mirror-UX' in your machine.

so if, you wanna make mirror disk, you have to install it.

check the mirror disk already installed or not.

# swlist -l product B2491BA

or

# swlist |grep -i mirror

In addition,

' -m ' option is a part of fileset of Mirror-UX(product no: B2491BA).

after, installed the software,your machine is going to reboot so that add some fileset.

Just to explain this clearly.
You are attempting to use the mirror option -m
This will not work unless you have the optional software 'MirrorDisk/UX' installed.
This software is not free and must be purchased.
If you have a license for it, install it, be aware that installing this software will require rebooting your system immediately once the install process has completed.

Check to see if MirrorDisk/UX is installed:
# swlist -l bundle |grep -i mirror

lvextend command's -m option is a part MirrorDisk/UX product.

Hi,
before going for mirror you should have mirror Unix installed.
In HP Unix mirror option is nt a part of standard HP unix system.
