      <description>Hello:&lt;BR /&gt;We are getting new machine.&lt;BR /&gt;I just need to verify mirroring syntax for non root disk.  The disks does not have to be bootable.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;pvcreate -f /dev/dsk/cxtxdx&lt;BR /&gt;vgextend -f /dev/vg04 /dev/dsk/cxtxdx&lt;BR /&gt;lvextend -m 1 /dev/vg04/lvol1 /dev/dsk/cxtxdx&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;Henry</description>

      <description>pvdisplay -v /dev/rdsk/cxtxdx | more&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;for the disk&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lvdisplay -v /dev/vg01/lvol1 | more&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This will show you the mirrors and what disk they are on.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>Yes, that will work.  You will also want to make sure that the LVs are created with the Strict allocation policy.  That will prevent you from mirroring to the same disk.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When you create an LV you need to specify the '-s y' switch.  Or if the LV is already created you can use lvchange to modify that setting.</description>
