Hello,

We are trying to increase a logical volume which is striped. The stderr output from the command is shown below.
vxfs fsadm: /usr/stx/spool is not the root inode of a vxfs file sytem

We are running HP-UX 11.00.

Hi:

I presume you have licensed Online JFS since you indicate you are expanding the filesystem with 'fsadm'.

Is the filesystem mounted?

Regards!

...JRF...

Hello again,

Yes we have online JFS and it is licensed. Everything is mounted (but possibly in the wrong order). Below is the order in which they were mounted. We have tried to unmount them but get the error message "umount: cannot unmount /usr/stx/db/tool/prod : Block device required" for each mountpoint.

mount /dev/vg01/lvol2 /usr/stx/db/tool/ting
mount /dev/vg01/lvol3 /usr/stx/db/tool/utool
mount /dev/vg01/lvol4 /usr/stx/db/tool
mount /dev/vg01/lvol5 /usr/stx/etc
mount /dev/vg01/lvol6 /usr/stx/homes
mount /dev/vg01/lvol7 /usr/stx/patches
mount /dev/vg01/lvol8 /usr/stx/prog/ops/interface/dump
mount /dev/vg01/lvol9 /usr/stx/prog
mount /dev/vg01/lvol10 /usr/stx/spool
mount /dev/vg01/lvol11 /usr/stx

Thanks!!!!
