    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, all&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Not sure what happaned with old forums...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;I have some academic edu in Unix/Linux but still can't figure out how to help myself with this issue:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I just opened one old HP-UX box and found number of "macros" in there, that how they called in how-to doc, let say you type &amp;lt;rx&amp;gt; and this does a lot of stuff. Is it about make/makefile? It's not alias for sure.&lt;BR /&gt;I can't figure out how it work, how I can edit/display these macros?       <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;gt;Not sure what happened with old forums.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It got migrated to this EBC forum.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Macros are typically in makefiles, C or C++.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For a shell, they are either command, variables, functions or aliases.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do you know which you are using?&amp;nbsp; What file has these macros?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
