As I understand, to use the SAM on text mode, I have to unset DISPLAY and then will go to text automaticaly.
On my system, it does not work, and I do not know why.
I have got " export TERM=hp " on my root .profile, so when sam is trying to start, show me the message " invalid display " or something like that.
That??s my problem, SAM does not start on my HP.

Hi,
mmm, strange ...
Try the following :
#export TERM=hpterm
#sam

If that does not do the trick, try using a telnet to the server. Can you start sam from the telnet session ?

Regards,
Tom
