Hp-UX Error

Hi,

OS :- hpux11.11
HW :- SuperDome

I got the following error in the log file and suddenly the database also got shutdown yesterday. Pl let me know if anyone is aware of thsi particular error, what does it mean and what are the precautinary steps?

Sorry, more information required...

What Database? Oracle, Sybase, Informix, DB2 ?
What Version?

What log file?
/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log ?

A database log file?

You need to be more specific.

Hi,

Error 32 (EPIPE) means 'broken pipe'.

Could this have been an effect of the database going down rather than the cause of it?
