    <description>Here is a document from the TKB (Doc. ID: GLPKBRC00002290) that lists JFS error messages.  The vx_mapbad message is listed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://us-support3.external.hp.com/cki/bin/doc.pl/sid=2932bbc40633c282ba/screen=ckiDisplayDocument?docId=GLPKBRC00002290" target="_blank"&gt;http://us-support3.external.hp.com/cki/bin/doc.pl/sid=2932bbc40633c282ba/screen=ckiDisplayDocument?docId=GLPKBRC00002290&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I was not able to find anything on the vx_ivalidate error.</description>

      <description>it's saying that your filesystem has some errors. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;umount and fsck the filesystem. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Depending on how you're set up, you may want to dd the disk to check for physical errors.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>I would start by doing an &lt;BR /&gt;bdf -i&lt;BR /&gt;see if you have run out of free inodes for your file system.</description>

      <description>The man page for fsck is actually split into several sections. For the -o options, you can find them in:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;man fsck_vxfs&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The option for a full fsck is:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;fsck -F vxfs -o full /dev/vgprz34/lvPRstagearch&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
