does anybody know maximum size of filesystem
(vxfs largefiles) on HPUX 10.20.

Hi,
Using HP-UX 10.20 the limits are :

# NFS --> 2 GB
# HFS --> 128 GB
# JFS --> 128 GB

Hello,

Maximum size of file system in 10.20 is 128Gb as far as I know. Anyone has a different version?

Have a look at this white paper. It summarizes the file and filesystem supported sizes for releases 10.01 through 11i for HFS as well as VxFS filesystems.

hi ..also take care that urmachine has the following patches so that even by an accident u dont increase your FS beyond 128GB.
PHCO_23035,PHCO_23036,PHCO_23037 are to be loaded on to ur machine so that if u try to increase the FS the system wont do so.but if these are not there then u will landup in mounting problem.then u may have to mount it using mount -r option take backup for the last time andthe recreate the LV and mkfs on it and restore the data.all painful.so be careful

I tried to create filesystem on hpux 11 using
SAM.
Maximum size it allowed me to create was 134213632 KB.(134GB)

The max limit is 128GB.
