      <description>Hi Admins,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'm getting this Error each time i do an LVM command that execute vgcfgbackup after the command:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgcfgbackup: /etc/lvmtab is out of date with the running kernel:Kernel indicates 9 disks for "/dev/vgprod"; /etc/lvmtab has 8 disks.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lvmtab contains 8 disks fro vgprod and this is correct, but how to clean the Kernel data or fix it...i rebooted many times.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>I did vgscan and lvmtab was rebuilt successfully then vgcfgbackup is still reporting the same.</description>

      <description>ooops, sorry, I went for the obvious :(&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;okay, so I presume a disk has been removed?!&lt;BR /&gt;try "vgreduce -f /dev/vgxx" ; this will remove missing disks from the volume group.&lt;BR /&gt;(a new vgscan might be necessary afterwards)&lt;BR /&gt;this should do the trick,&lt;BR /&gt;good luck,&lt;BR /&gt;Thierry.</description>
