    <description>When it talks about a raw filesystem it is refering to the /dev/vgxx/rlvol. Just create the lvol in the normal way, but do not perform a newfs command on it.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   we have new HP Nclass hp-ux 11,  for sybase&lt;BR /&gt;   its needs raw file system. can any one explan&lt;BR /&gt;   how create raw file system, is the file system&lt;BR /&gt;   with fstype hfs is ok. &lt;BR /&gt;   &lt;BR /&gt;   Thanks in advance.</description>

      <description>Sekar,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also I should mention that you do not mount it. As far as a bdf command is concerned it does not exist as it is a raw partition. You will need to use Ingres tools to keep a track on the amount of space it is using</description>

      <description>Sekar,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also make sure that you change the ownership of the "/dev/vgxx/rlvolxx" to allow the sybase user to read and write on the raw logical volumes.</description>
