data read error

Data read error problem is get a backup in hp-ux 10.20 and server is hp rp dclass 380.
i change the tape drive tape media and scsi cable but error is data read error.
I take a backup 5 mb backup is completely sucessfully but i take a back 100 mb did not get a backup and error message is data read error.
Tape drive is lto3.

Hi Umang,

what about the terminators?

Do you have any other devices connected to the same channel?

Did you try to change the backup source and check?

which command are you using for taking the backup?

Hi ,

It is looking like your tape drive have some problem..Try cleaning of tape drive with cleaning dat..
