    <description>Were these two outputs (bdf and sam) obtained at the same time?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Are all the home directories made available via the automounter? If so the user (hems) may have logged in just before you looked at the sam lisying. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What does /etc/fstab show as far what is expected to be be mounted?</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;it seems SAM showing filesystem table (fstab) and all of from that is not mounted.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;execute mount -a or mount /home/hems and compare&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;rgds&lt;BR /&gt;johnson</description>

      <description>bdf is not vg specific.  It will list all MOUNTED volumes.  SAM's interface will list all available objects, and in some cases give you status, but what is your goal?  If you need to work with the FS, then you'll need to be sure it's mounted (issue 'mount' at a prompt, if it doesn't show, it's not there), but know that there are various ways to mount filesystems, and you can mount from other systems via NFS etc..., so again, what do you need to do, or were you just curious as to the difference in the displays?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;RCP</description>

      <description>I just did a quick test and unles my sam is broken, it (sam) does not update the mounted filesystem listing if you mount or unmount a filesystem. I even did a "Refresh list" from the sam menu and it did not update either. &lt;BR /&gt;The bdf is the command to trust in this case. It shows the filesystems that are mounted at the time you run it.</description>
