      <description>hello&lt;BR /&gt;is there a command in hpux (11.31) to de-activate memory in an npar config (i know that its available for cores, icapmodify -d &amp;lt;# of cpus&amp;gt;. Ffcourse i could be deactivating cellboards but thats not what am looking for).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>There is no HP-UX command to take memory offline at the nPar level outside of dynamically removing the entire cell board.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Memory can only be deconfigured at the firmware level.  Reboot the nPar, interrupt the boot sequence and then use one of the following commands to deconfigure a bank of DIMMs on a cell board:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; For PA-RISC/BCH Menu&amp;gt; SER DD&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; For Itanium/EFI Shell&amp;gt; dimmconfig&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Use the help commands to view command syntax.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Bob</description>
