Update Version

How do I tell what Update version I am running? This is a brand new box running 11.31.

Try to grep the swlist output for "HPUX11i" or "-OE" or "Operating Environment", e.g.

HPUX11i-DC-OE B.11.31.0903 HP-UX Data Center Operating Environment

This is march (03) 2009 (09)

Hi:

In general for any 11i release:

# swlist|grep -Ei "hpuxbase|hpux11i"
HPUX11i-VSE-OE B.11.31.0909 HP-UX Virtual Server Operating Environment

For 11.31, your update level can then be deduced from the YYMM date of the above; in this case, "update-5":

Thanks that did it.. I just had to figure out what date corresponded to what update.
