Shalom,

/stand must be part of the boot volume group which by default is vg00. You can't add space to /stand from another volume group.

The better course of action in this case is.

cd /stand

ll
See how many backup kernels you have and if you can delete some of them.

SEP

Hi,
If you have only space on vg01, I doubt that you can increase /stand because vg01 is not vg00.
So you have to made space on vg00 and after that plan to increase /stand. Another thing is to analyse what file you have on /stand.
find /stand -type f -exec ls -al {}\;
bdf /stand
HTH
/stand
------

/stand and /stand/build can fill quickly. You should have /stand/vmunix,
/stand/vmunix.prev, /stand/system, and /stand/system.prev in the /stand
directory. If you have other kernels or system files you should look at
them to determine if they should be removed. In /stand/build there could
be other kernels. Look for a file called /stand/build/vmunix_test,
vmunix_test is a kernel that was created but never moved into place.
Since /stand, swap, and / have to be contiguous, it is just about impossible to expand any of them without going through something like an Ignite backup/restore process.

https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=IGNITEUXB

Pete
Hi,

The /stand can not extended because it is contiguous. The only way to extend /stand is to do a reinstall. Take a ignite backup and then restore using the ignite tape.

Regards,
Asif Sharif
