When I run kcusage on one node on my cluster with not all VGs active.
I get: vgdisplay: Volume group cannot be activated... volume group cannot be displayed.

This normal for kcusage? Why would it need to look at the VGs for kcusage?

Shalom,

In a cluster on the passive node, shared volume groups can not be active, because they are activated on the active node.

Man page:
http://docs.hp.com/en/5992-4607/ch10s11.html

http://docs.hp.com/en/5992-4607/5992-4607.pdf

SEP

Seems I am at least part right - see here:

http://www13.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en&docId=emr_na-c01317454-1

The fix seesm to be to install the latest version of KernelConfig product (B.11.23.24) Unfortunately the link takes you only to the version for 11iv3, so youy may need to hunt this product down on an up-to-date core OS DVD

HTH

Duncan
