    <description>&lt;!--!*#--&gt;&amp;gt;  What do you see if you do a 'what' on the&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt; received file?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Windows has a "what" command?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have a better question.  What do we see if&lt;BR /&gt;you tell us exactly what you were doing?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt; [...] this could be just a temperory&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt; problem [...]&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Yeah, those computers never do the same thing&lt;BR /&gt;twice.  I don't know why anyone even tries to&lt;BR /&gt;use them.</description>

      <description>Hi Admins,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have a problem with tar file.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have sent a tar file to my mail id thro mailx.&lt;BR /&gt;My  cronjob will sent a tar file to mail id using uuencode and mailx.Today morning when m opening tar file m getting below error.&lt;BR /&gt;"Invalid archive directory"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But i  can open tar file in server and view the contents&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i used below command for mailing&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/usr/bin/uuencode /reports/HPUNIX/Report_$DATE.tar /reports/HPUNIX/Report_$DATE.tar|/usr/bin/mailx&lt;BR /&gt; -m -s "HPUX CHECKLIST REPORT : $DATE" mail@id&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Plz suggest on this&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;himacs&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Can you use cksum(1) on the tarfile you originally created and then again on the one you extract from your mail?</description>

Using&lt;BR /&gt;what?  Actual command?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt; "Invalid archive directory"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This doesn't look to me like a normal "tar"&lt;BR /&gt;complaint   Google thinks that it might come&lt;BR /&gt;from WinZip.  What, exactly, are you doing?</description>

      <description>did you ever get a good file from mail,&lt;BR /&gt;and this could be just a temperory problem when some bits must have been missed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try sending same file again.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;BR,&lt;BR /&gt;Kapil+</description>
