    <description>What do you mean "VG availability"?  Are you wanting to see if the volume group is activitated or not?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can try doing a 'vgdisplay vg_name'.  If the volume group is activated then you will see information about it.  If it is not activated, then vgdisplay will give an error like the following:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# vgdisplay vg04&lt;BR /&gt;vgdisplay: Volume group not activated.&lt;BR /&gt;vgdisplay: Cannot display volume group "vg04".&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Sandor:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;'vgdisplay' will return the VG status with an optional 'exclusive' notation if the VG is activated in an MC/ServiceGuard node.  On nodes on which it isn't activated, vgdisplay will return 'Volume group not activated.'.  This distinguishes an activatable VG from one that simply isn't known to the system.  In that case, one gets 'Volume group "/dev/vgXX" does not exist in the "/etc/lvmtab" file'.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;...JRF...</description>

      <description>Thanks !&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgdisplay is good for me when VG activated, but &lt;BR /&gt;How can I diplay VG marked exclusive or not or shared... before activete it ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;of corse &lt;BR /&gt;vgchange -a y if work not marked exclusive but &lt;BR /&gt;when error ... conflict with configured mode then marked but I looking for better solution.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards, Saa&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Saa</description>
