Hello,

I am getting the error when I run the cmcheckconf command, any idea?

cmcheckconf -v -C /etc/cmcluster/cmclconf.ascii

This is 4 node cluster and 3 are ok but one is having issue. The funny thing is the node is and all the pkgs on that nodes are up and running.

But now we are trying to reconcile configuration file /etc/cmcluster/cmclconf.ascii and can't do that.

Also, I am able to ping the trouble node and do the trace route and nslookup and all that.

Any Idea?

Appreciate your help.

Regards,

M

You might have already checked but wht
ps -ef|grep -i cmcld

shows you on the problematic node?

You didn't state what version of HP-UX or Serviceguard you're running. That might help also.

One thing to look at is to be sure you have the auth service enabled in /etc/inetd.conf or have the -i option for the commands as the following two lines show (taken from HP-UX 11.31 with SG 11.19):

hacl-probe stream tcp nowait root /opt/cmom/lbin/cmomd /opt/cmom/lbin/cmomd -i -f /var/opt/cmom/cmomd.log -r /var/opt/cmom
hacl-cfg stream tcp6 nowait root /usr/lbin/cmclconfd cmclconfd -c -i

If you need to uncomment auth or add the -i option to either of the SG lines, be sure to reread the modified configuration file after editing /etc/inetd.conf:

inetd -c

The issue is with LAN cards, for some odd reason the LAN cars are up from os level and I can telnet and ping the ip, also do the linkloop but Service guard is thinking that it's down.

I think I might have to shutdown the hole cluster and bring it up.

Also, the node is up and the current pkgs are up. I just can't do the cmcheckconf for the new pkg.

Regards,

M
