Install HPUX 11i V3 from a network depot.

Hello All,
I want to install HPUX 11i V3 on one of my test boxes. I do not have a DVD ROM in the test box. I do have a DVD ROM in an older K class server I wish to utilize. Is it possible to share the DVD-ROM and install HPUX from there? Will I need to create some depots first?

Use swcopy to transfer all of the DVD to the server and run "ignite" to configure the ignite server to use this depot.

Now boot the client from the ignite server and install the OS.

Ok that is encouraging, thank you.
Before I go and start reading the docs, does he OS that the Ignite-UX server is running on have to be of equal or greater revision?
For example the server I would be using as the ignite-ux server will be 11.11 or 11i V1, does it have to be 11i V3 in order to accomplish what I need? I meant to put that question in the original post.

If your ignite version is new enough you should be able to install 11.31 from a 11.11 ignite server.

This is version C.7.6.100.

The latest DVD set (march 08) has only C.7.5.142.

C class work stations and K class servers are not supported for 11iv3.
