      <description>Hi All,&lt;BR /&gt;I had run make_tape_recover (entire vg00 and vg01 in two different tapes).&lt;BR /&gt;Backup done sucessfull.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My system is making some problem and application is not running.&lt;BR /&gt;I have decide to restore system using my backup tapes.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I want to know the full steps to restore my system using tape(1st i will use vg00 backup tape)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have already check the booting options, but there are no option to Boot from tape.&lt;BR /&gt;There are option disks and lan0, lan2 etc.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please Guide me how to restore.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks in Advance.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;Insert the tape in the drive and reboot the server.&lt;BR /&gt;Halt the reboot and enter boot menu&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;From Menu run the serach command&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;search.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Note down the device name (p0,p1,p2 etc) for the Sequential device (which is the tape drive)&lt;BR /&gt;For example the p1 is the device name for Sequential device&lt;BR /&gt;Then boot using the command &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;boot p1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When prompted for isl option say no and continue&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sagar</description>

      <description>if its itanium you have 2 options,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;boot from dvd and them select installation boot media tape, or in boot menu add a new boot antry, and boot from tape directly, its depend on firmware and ignite version.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;mikap&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
