Hi guys,
I have 2 system with 11.23 ia64, in veritas cluster.
From top of this systems i find a process :
CPU TTY PID USERNAME PRI NI SIZE RES STATE TIME %WCPU %CPU COMMAND
14 vcn 4434 root 152 20 792K 704K run 2137:17 87.86 87.70 lltd

What is this lltd process and what is your utility? It's normal that take 152 % of cpu?
can i kill it?

Link layer topology Discovery daemon is used to perform discovery on LAN and WAN for network topology.

Are you running any backup software?

I dont know if you are running veritas databse for oracle on hpux, please check for the application patches.

I wouldn't recommend killing the daemon as llt is the protocol used by VCS for the private heartbeat interconnects.

Check your llt config (/etc/llttab, /etc/llthosts, lltstat -nvv). Also raise a case with Symantec if the configuration looks ok, they may have identified a patch for it.

I think that it is a veritas patch problem.
