    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;i have add new disk and vg in the produccion system (High Availability). The cluster is Serviceguard. &lt;BR /&gt;later adding and creating (disk, vg) have export vg to server Failover&lt;BR /&gt;the comannd used in the server primary&lt;BR /&gt;vgexport -m ./vgxx.map -p -s -v vgxx&lt;BR /&gt;vgchange -a n vgxx&lt;BR /&gt;copy file in the server failover&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the command used in the server failover&lt;BR /&gt;vgimport -m ./vgxx.map.map -s -v vgxx.map&lt;BR /&gt;vgchange -a r vgxx&lt;BR /&gt;vgchange -a n vgxx&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;my question is in the case of the vg existing:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In the failover server have delete vg existing before the apply command (vgimport)??&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>if you are asking:&lt;BR /&gt;Must I delete the exisiting VG information on the second cluster node if I am making major changes to my shared VG?&lt;BR /&gt;The answer is yes. You need to do the vgexport/mkdir/mknod command chain before doing the vgimport</description>

      <description>thanls melvin, in the case, the following command apply before to vgimport&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgexport -v vgxx&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i don not understang comment to mknod&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if vg in the server failover exist, the number mknod is equal in the server primary&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>you will need to create the relevant VG directory same as the Primary node, themn create the Group control file with mknod.&lt;BR /&gt;All detailed in the Managing Serviceguard manuals</description>
