lock disk fails!!!!

what we need to do , if the cluster lock disk is fails and how to replace the lock disk and i gone through many forumns in itrc, but i am not able to get the clear view for like" what is kock disk" and where is the configuration file.

Just replace like any other disk. If the vgcfgbackup was run after initializing the lock disk, this information will be restored during the replacement process.

You should replace the disk "normally".

It depend's in your setup.

Is a local disk, or a LUN.

I must be a shared disk, otherwise how could it be accessed by all the nodes of the cluster!?!

Hmmm, a shared SCSI disk (e.g. a DS2x00 or MSA30 MI) could be a "local" disk compared to "remote" disks on SAN.

However, there is a difference between a lock disk and a lock LUN, refer to the manual for details.
