Upgrading a firmware could screw up your complete system if you don't do it correctly.

Also to upgrade to 64 bits you need to verify your model name string. This needs to be updated also by an HP CE. If the model string is wrong the upgrade will fail.

Regards,
Luc

Hi,

We have a K250 server, currently running HP-UX 11.0 32 bit which needs to be upgraded to HPUX 11.0 64 bit. The current PDC firmware is 36.51. We need to upgrade to atleast ver 39.43 for 64 bit support. But in the HP site, it seems this one is withdrawn and shows the latest version 41.33, which is not supported on K250.

Can someone send me the version 39.43. Also, pls tell is this one safe to be used.I think I have used this version before on K460, but not very sure..

Thanks and Regds,

Abdul Salam

If it is a critical system, I don't want to use the firmware from others instead of HP, if I were you, I will call HP.
