Hi,
I've got some rather basis questions about SG (I am not looking to use it, rather just to know how it works).

1. WHat is the latest version available?
2. What are the processes used by SG?
3. How does SG decide on a auto failover? ping, some processes not running? Can this be configured?

POints awarded of course

BR
Remco

What are the processes used by SG?
Important processes are
cmcld
cmclconfd
cmlvmd
cmlogd
3. How does SG decide on a auto failover? ping, some processes not running? Can this be configured?
Many ways and also depends on the configuration. Hardware failure, network failure, service(process failure), user interuption.. etc.. Yes all can be configured.

Take a course for a week. We do it remotely with a live cluster for each student. You will fully configure the product, storage and packages as well as make a oracle database run as a failover package on a live system. YOU do it all.

The course assumes no knowledge of serviceguard and is a real good way to know the product.
