How to get the statistics has been explained in these threads more than once. It is a complicated sequence of web analysis stages, that is started in cron, and takes about 2 hours for a full scan on my A500 with HP-UX 11.00 where the machine is not the speed bottleneck, but the bandwidth to the forum pages is.
In these collection scripts, I have built in a lot of checks and retry points to cope with bad connections. The output is kept on my ITRC home page and is analysed further by Alex who keeps a more user friendly front end for people that want to know more.

Connection was bad. Last week it was bad, but this week it is even worse. I have restarted the stats twice, and corrected the warnings I got manually by re-fetching the ID's that the scripts warned me about until no warnings were left.

So, don't ask why we got negative number of posts, or why you are not in the fast movers. This already took way more of my free time than it should.

8150 points this week. -2283 posts (76 questions, -2359 answers).
8 promotions and 24 waiting in line.

Yes, for free. Perl and cron are my best friends.

Of course it is my love for statistics that feeds this urge to collect the data :)
Combined with the love for perl and trying to find the best/nicest/obfuscatestest way to do it adds the right amount of FUN

No, that is because the promoted to double star is not (yet) in the stats. A painful omission. I should add that, but I think I have some time left before the next :)
