I still don't&lt;BR /&gt;know exactly what you did, or exactly what&lt;BR /&gt;happened when you did it.  "[I]t doesn't&lt;BR /&gt;work" is not a useful problem description.&lt;BR /&gt;You've provided no useful information to&lt;BR /&gt;work with.  How do you expect anyone to guess&lt;BR /&gt;where the problem lies?</description>

      <description>hello all&lt;BR /&gt;we have a sun solaris unix  machine&lt;BR /&gt;we do&lt;BR /&gt;1 compress file &lt;BR /&gt;2 crypt key &lt;FILE compressed=""&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;3 transfer the file crypted to an HP8400 hpux 11.11&lt;BR /&gt;4 decrypt the file with the same command and same key (crypt and K120 key )  &lt;BR /&gt;5 uncompress the file an error occure&lt;BR /&gt;the file is not in a compressed file &lt;BR /&gt;please help me&lt;BR /&gt;semmar&lt;/FILE&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I assume this also fails if you skip the compress steps?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You might want to see if cksum and crypt produce the same outputs on the same inputs.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;First pick a file, copy in binary to the other machine and use cksum on the original and the crypt versions. If they don't match, then that's the problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;(Any reason you use compress vs gzip?)&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>you should compare a cksum and size of all versions of the files taken at every steps.&lt;BR /&gt;cksum at step 2.5 and 3.5 &lt;BR /&gt;and &lt;BR /&gt;cksum at 1.5 and 4.5&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then you will know if the file differ after transfert if 2.5 and 3.5 are different&lt;BR /&gt;or if it is crypt if 1.5 and 4.5 defers&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
