HP-UX : Odette ftp support

Hi All,

Does anyone has got the experience of Odette ftp on hp-ux. Could anyone help me to find out the depot/source for Odette ftp(OFTP) and the configuration details.

My OS is hp-ux 11.00 and these servers are using for EDI.

Hi,

we only use oftp client software for hp-ux, the server is running under windows.
In your situation I would google - oftp is a commercial solution, so you'll find companies who offer such a program, for example:

I can't believe that there a freeware solution, it's too specific.

Also I would suggest to change to a supported os, i.e. 11.11 (11i).

Shalom,

Going with anything on an unsupported OS is a bad idea. Before starting, go to a protected OS, 11.11 or higher.

wsftp ships with the OS and proftpd is also available.

These days these services are better provided by openssh, which encrypts the the data stream and the authentication.
