I am trying to install 11.11 on N class server from Ignite tape taken from a rp7420 server. I have few questions in this regard:

On the additional tab, there is an option:

Clone to different HW

Should I say true to this option or false?

I would set this to true.

There may be just enough difference between the two systems that this may help you. I don't think it can hurt.

I have another question in this regard.

The lan cards dont match on these servers.

On the N class server, we have btlan3 (HP PCI 10/100 Base-TX Core) lan card while on rp server, whose image I am using doesnt have this lan card. However, it has igelan and iether cards.

How can I make the lan card functional (install drivers for it)

You should be able to 'include' the btlan3 driver in the kernel when the system is up after the rebuild is complete. You should be able to do this from SAM.

I don't think you need to install anything for the btlan3 driver. I believe it is included by default.

So you should just be able to go into SAM, no swinstall needed.
