How & where do I check the Shutdown/hwerror errors in log files and how does i understand its meaning

How do I understand the meaning of your question?

Do you currently have shutdown errors?

Do you currently have hardware errors?

Common files are

/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
and
/etc/shutdownlog

Common log files....
/var/adm/syslog/syslog/log
/etc/shutdownlog

H/w errors can be view through dmesg also
#dmesg
