Configuration Items.

Hi there..

this is my second post. My role is currently as a Configuration Mangager (infrastructure, h/w, s/w) and i have been Unix Admin Before. Our shop is full of HP-UX and Linux implementations. As a sucessful CM, what are things that i may need to know? Please advise.

Honestly, I have never heard of a "configuration manager". What is it that you do? What's your job description?

Ur jobs roll basically Implementation Engineer/System Admin or Project Managerâ ¦â ¦..Iâ ve also never before heard any product name Configuration Manager (CM). Could U please describe product future & brand name?

As I know CM means Cell Manager (Data Protector), is it?

I think you are talking in terms of ITIL?
If thats the case then following are the key points:
