java.lang nullpointer exception with Aries emulator

I am trying to run a PA compiled multithreaded application on a IA server. Whenever i point it to java 1.4 it intermittantly give java.lan.nullpointer exception and terminates. And with java 1.3 this error does not come but sometimes the job simply hangs.

In both the cases the job runs successfully at times. Its an intermittant issue. I have latest Aries path on server.

Please advice !

Have you contacted the Response Center? Do you have the latest java patches?

Shalom,

I agree that checking Java version and patches is critical.

There is however probably no reason unless you are specifically testing ARIES, not to recompile your application on IA-64

Its a product software " epiphany" and we do not have codes for it hence i am unable to recompile it.

I have all the patches in place ( as what i checked on net )

I also have the latest Aries patch.

Is there any technical information that you would like me to provide.

Unfortunatly need to make this work my monthend. I have tried attaching GDB with it but with no success. gdb simply hangs too

You need to provide this to the Response Center, they are the only ones that can debug your problem.
