Command line options for creating lp printers revolve around the lpadmin command so see the man page.

If its network printing to HP network attached printers (jetdirect cards) then you may need jetadmin/jetdirect. There were some links on the forums a week ago or so to download (free) the latest version. just do a search on the forum for jetadmin or jetdirect.

Hi

Best way to add a printer is by SAM. There are three types of printer available.

1. Local printer
2. Remote Printer
3. Network Printer

First U decide How U want to install and then open SAM

Follow this

SAM->Printers and Plotters->LP Spooler->Printers and Plotters->Action->Add printer

Then SAM will direct U to add a printer

After adding come out of SAM and make sure that scheduler is running or not? Printer is enabled or not ..etc

#lpstat -t can be used for this

Best of luc
Shahul
